A new and ingenious water meter boundary box has been developed in a joint venture by Severn Trent Services (STS) with Irish company IPL group (Industrial Plant Ltd & Innovative Products Ltd) who will market the product in Ireland.

The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation has announced that all of the country's domestic water meters are to be replaced with Severn Trent Services' SmartMeters.

At a press conference in Qatar, the Corporation’s water distribution manager Abdul Monaom Darwish said that this decision was taken because of the corporation’s desire to go high-tech. He added that the corporation’s aim is to provide customers with the maximum satisfaction through the best possible service.
