SmartMeter water meters use the well proven principal of fluidic oscillation - already used to meter more extensive fluids such as gas or oil. For the fist time this technology is now available to the water industry.
Accuracy and Range
Trials have consistently proved that, over time, mechanical water meters fail or under record due to the effects of particulates. SmartMeters eliminate these problems; the solid-state water meters maintain accuracy throughout their whole life.
The gradual decline of metered income through failing or increasingly under-reading mechanical meters can be compensated for statistically. However this is no substitute for the accuracy now available from modern metering techniques - which give certainty and reliability, not only assuring metered income, but also giving improved water leakage indication.
Features
- Uses fluidic oscillation technology
