SmartMeter

SmartMeter water meters use the well proven principal of fluidic oscillation - already used to meter more extensive fluids such as gas or oil. For the fist time this technology is now available to the water industry.

The SmartMeter SM150 N1.5m3/h meter, branded as the Global Meter, was launched in July 2004. Using the principle of fluidic oscillation for lifelong accuracy, the meter has been installed in several countries around the world.

The SmartMeter SM150VR+ represents the latest innovation from Severn Trent Metering Services. The intelligent water meter employs no moving parts electromagnetic technology to deliver lifelong accuracy at a low cost. The SM150VR+ is easily upgradeable to an AMR meter at a fraction of the cost of traditional AMR systems.

The SmartMeter SM250 N2.5m³/h water meter provides a robust solution for water companies in extreme conditions, such as high temperatures. The meter retains its accuracy even when water temperatures reach up to 60^oC, and is installed in mass quantities in the Middle East and Australia.  

SmartMeter SM700 water meters are available in 15, 20 or 30 gallon per minute variations. The meters have been designed using fluidic oscillation technology that has been used by the petrochemical industry for several decades.

With certification to the AWWA C713 standard and approval to NSF61, the SM700 has been a huge success in the USA.
